Since Disney bought Marvel Entertainment, whats gonna happen to Universal Studios & Islands of Adventures? Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure have based quit a few of their rides on characters from Marvel comics, but now that Disney bought Marvel Entertainment, will Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure have to change the name and themes of those rides?
How will Universal Studios parks be affected by Disney's acquistion of Marvel Comics? Some of Universal Studios Orlando's biggest attractions are Marvel based, such as The Hulk rollercoaster and the Spider-Man attraction. I doubt if Disney is going to allow their direct competitor to maintain those attractions.
Is Marvel studios planning on filming a extraordinary movie of all characters? Hulk, Spider-man, Iron man ext.? Wouldn't it be awesome if something like that did happen? Marvel Studios VS WWE Films? Which produces better movies?
Who would you cast to portray Thor in the movie just announced by Marvel Studios? comics2film (as reported @ the San Diego ComicCon via comics2film.com)
Does Universal Studios (Hollywood) still have Marvel Mania? I haven't been to Universal Studios Theme Park (Hollywood, CA) in over 5 years, and i was wondering if they still had the Marvel Mania restaurant and gift shop? It was a Marvel franchise themed restaurant decorated with superheroes like spider-man, the hulk, iron-man, captain america, thor, etc.
Does anyone know if we will be seeing actors from non marvel studios movies in the new avengers movie? I figured since we know Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, War Machine, and The Hulk will be appearing in the movie, that it would be logical for them to include Toby McGuire as Spider-Man, since he was a member of the original Avengers. Or possibly The Fantastic 4 and The X-Men, who have been involved with the Avengers many times. Personally I just think it would be cool to see Robert Downey Jr. on screen with Hugh Jackman and Toby McGuire as their respective characters. Anyone know anything about it?
how much does stan lee make from the marvel movies and for his comics? im just wondering how much studios pay him for the marvel movies because all the marvel movies makes over 100 million. so i know his not letting them do it for free. and from from his comics because marvel and x men has came along ways and its still pretty pop.
Disney is buying Marvel, doesn that mean the Spiderman ride at Islands of Adventure will have to close? Just wondering if the new ownership will cause Universal Studios to lose all of the Marvel related rides.
Will Kick-Ass (the movie) be released under Marvel? Or atleast have association with Marvel Studios.
Is Universal Studios losing the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster? I just got wind that Marvel Comics was purchased by Walt Disney. Does that mean that Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure will lose the rights to have the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster?
Where can I find a Marvel Crossbones mask? I watched a show about the best theme parks (I think) and I believe the Universal Studios park had big guys running around scaring people with chainsaws and whatnot while wearing Crossbones masks. And I want one. Crossbones is a Marvel Comics villain most notably and most recently he is known for assassinating Captain America. Does anyone know where and how I could find a Crossbones mask??
Will Marvel Comics go down the drain now that Disney has bought it? http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aQz4V67krUXY Marvel just got its own studios and began independent production of its own character's movies... How will Disney's move effect the Marvel products we have come to know and love?
Marvel Movies? So I've been doing my research and I've found that Marvel Studios is planning on bringing out Captain America and Thor movies. I, personally, have found every Marvel movie (except for the first Incredible Hulk) to be pretty good. So what do you guys think? Yay or nay on Marvel movies? So, do you think it's the director who makes the movies good or does it mainly rely on the way that the superheroes are presented by the studios?
Marvel movie idea...? Why doesn't Marvel studios start making movies using the same kind of animation that was used in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game? It was some pretty good CGI animation and it seems like Marvel heros aren't quite as cool when the director has to find a person who looks arguably like the character, and has some reasonable amount of acting abilities, and sometimes fails to find a person who fits either of those categories. With computer animation, they could make the character look and acts exactly like the character looks and acts in the comics, and all that's left would be to find someone to do the voice.
do they have to do every movie(avengers/marvel)? so far the new marvel Studios have came up with iron-man and hulk(loved them).at the end of hulk, general ross was talking to stark and stark said something about starting a team (taking credit from nick fury).well, next year is captain america and late 2009 or early 2010 is the thor movie. are they going to have make a hank pym, scarlet witch and vision movie?what about a shield movie?is it going to be 2017 when the avenger movie comes?

Now That DISNEY Has Bought MARVEL Comics...? Does this mean that Universal Studios will have to pay DISNEY for the MARVEL attractions; like the Spider-Man and HULK rides?
Marvel Comic Books Islands of Adventure? Hi, I am going to be going to Islands of Adventure this weekend and I was hoping to buy a comic book at the Marvel Island. I was wondering what are some good comic books that i should look into? Also for anyone that has been there, do they sell any DC comic books there or anywhere there (universal studios, citywalk, etc.) I really wanted to buy Watchmen but i doubt they may have it there. Thanks

What will happen to Marvel Superhero Island at Universal Studio's IOA since Disney bought out Marvel? I think its a D move of Disney to pull a stunt like this. They see Universals Award winning Marvel rides, think its a good idea, then literally takes it right out of their hands. Islands of Adventure wouldn't be the same without Hulk, Spider-man, or Doctor Doom. For those who dont know what a D move is: it is not a dumb move, it is a dick move or a deuche move. I was outraged at the time I wrote this.
Who pays for the movie promotion (TV, Internet, Billboard) advertising for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie? Marvel Entertainment, Fox 20th Century, Marvel Studios, Other? If the movie is Co-produced between Marvel & Fox is it still Fox?
Say goodbye to marvel we all know them for since Disney bought it out? Now i recently heard that Disney bought out marvel. i didn't find out til a month later because i been busy with schoolworks and stuff. Now i know that people say that Disney not going to do with Marvel but i know Disney works. it hard for me to explain but ever since disney bought ABC and ESPN, they been going downhill lately. i don't bother watching ESPN at all. Disney owned Miramax and touchstones studios because Disney relied on them to compete with studios that also have adult orientated films (universal, paramount, 20th century fox, etc.) ABC and ESPN Is not a studio and just do what Disney had to tell them. i know how Disney works. Agree or disagree, what Disney intended to do with marvel? NO BS answer please.
Questions about Marvel/Disney Merger? 1. Is the decision final? 2. Do you think Disney will mess with the characters/stories a lot? 3. What will happen at Universal Studios theme park (not so much the one in Hollywood)? Will they be able to get a contract with Disney so they can keep the heroes at their park? 4. What will happen to superhero video games? Will they all be produced by Disney Interactive Studios now, or will other companies be able to make them? 5. Do you think this will bring more Marvel products to retail (like comic books, toys, games, etc.)?
How long before Marvel gets the Disney treatment? Disney forced Fleisher studios out of business by accusing them of being communist (MacArthurism of the 50's). They forced Pixar to cut expenses and make crap. And now they'll force Universal to change all of their rides... but wait... Disney can now plunder Marvel and force many Comic book talents to work for less or elsewhere. Coming soon the Punisher will spank "bad people" instead of...DISNEY CENSORRED ... Disney's B.S. of trying to aquire young boys (do we have to go there again WALT) into their market, is full full of holes. You would think, that the Uberlord Disney would do some research and realise that men (25-55) not boys(12-19), buy 80% of all comicsand women (25-55) buy 15% and only 5% of the market are children. Lets be honest, how many kids can afford a $3 comic, let alone the average $30 a week. But hey, what do you think a company that has 1 dog in pants and another naked and in chains. To myself and many others, Mickey is a rat.
what rides should go in the following empty spaces at niversal studios florida and islands of adventure? I took a look at the two maps and noticed that there is so much empty space at BOTH parks but they keep shutting down attractions like they have no space. At Universal Studios Florida, I found the following areas suitable for attractions Area 1: The area between E.T. and Terminator is, according to the map empty and suitable for a good attraction set in Hollywood. Maybe something with Hellboy? Area 2: If they shut down Fievel's Playland and rerouted Woody Woodpecker a bit, another good attraction could be put right next to the E.T. building. Maybe a Charlie Brown one like one of the attractions at the Japan park. Area 3: Once again, the Kidzone has another spot to put an attraction, between the Animal show and the Barneyshow. If they closed the Barney show, we could have a great dark ride attraction, perhaps based on Madagascar. Area 4: This one is huge. It the space between Simpsons and MIB. You could put two attractions here. Maybe Battlestar Galactica and Transformers could be pulled in? Area 5: JAWS has a bunh of space suuronding it. A small attraction could go here. Area 6: The area that's by Beetlejuice could fit a good attraction if Beetlejuice was closed. Area 7: This is the entire Blue Man Group building. Close it for something that the park can use, like a FATF indoor ride, that could be like Test Track and send you racing outside. Maybe some interactivity. I still have to do IOA but I'll shorten that by land. Marvel Super Hero Island: There's 2 areas here that could fit maybe an Iron Man mini-launched coaster and maybe a small Thor ride. Toon Lagoon: This one has three areas that could fit a Rocky and Bullwinkle dark ride by that theater place next to Spidey, a Beetle Bailey attraction and maybe a rockin' tug based on Hagrid the Horrible. Jurassic Park: Harry Potter took one of its spaces, but this land still has 4 HUGE spaces. This land is the least developed but is the biggest land. For here, they could shut down Pteranodon Flyers and then put a REAL coaster in themed to Pteranodons. Then, make an indoor Jeep ride like Indiana Jones, except themed to dinos. A kiddie ride themed to dinos could also be added. Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Here they could pretty much just add a flat ride or two. Lost Continent: Ah, here they now need a new crowd pleaser as no one is gonna pay a lot of cash so that they can see Poseidon's Fury. So take some of the lake and theme it to an indoor Minotaur coaster, It would b a wild mouse, so it would be family-orientaned. Seuss Landing: Here they got 4 spaces as well. Behind the Cat in the Hat, a Horton ride could be added. A Lorax dark ride could go in that huge space between Seuss and Lost Continent. A Grinch coaster like the Matterhorn could go by the lake portion of Seuss. Finally, THE LAKE!!! Did you notice that IOA never uses the lake. Sure, they used to, but now nothing's going on. So, they can put in a.... NINTENDO WORLD Here we would have a state of the art Mario dark ride that is thrilling. Maybe you could ride on a mine cart through the sewers up to Bowser's castle. Also, a Legend of Zelda mostly indoors water coaster would be added. A Pokemon play area, Yoshi go-karts, a Donkey Kong indoor show, and Kirby balloon race would also be here. Tell me what you think and your ideas.
How do I get the rights to write my own screenplay about a certain comic book character? How does one get the rights to do this? There is a certain type of character which I am fascinated with but the comic did not last very long. I wanted to revive the character through means of motion picture by penning my own script and pitching it to a studio. He's a character from marvel comics but I won't say who. He just wasn't very popular. So how do I get the rights or permission to write a script or could I just write the screenplay and NOT get it copyrighted due to the fact its based off a marvel character? Thanks.
BREAKING NEWS: Robert Downey, Jr. is Iron Man! Your thoughts on this latest casting choice? Spider-Man 4 OVERHAULED O_0? LOS ANGELES - Tobey Maguire's web-slinging days are behind him. The 34-year-old actor and "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi will not be returning to the superhero franchise next year. Instead, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios announced Monday that a new "Spider-Man" film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on Peter Parker in high school would debut in the summer of 2012 with a new cast and filmmaking team. "I am so proud of what we accomplished with the 'Spider-Man' franchise over the last decade," Maguire said in a statement Monday. "Beyond the films themselves, I have formed some deep and lasting friendships. I am excited to see the next chapter unfold in this incredible story." The announcement of a reboot comes after reports that "Spider-Man 4" production stalled amid script revisions. The original "Spider-Man 4" release date seemed unlikely last week when Paramount Pictures announced that "Thor," another big-screen Marvel superhero adaptation, had hammered out the same May 6, 2011, release date as the fourth Spidey installment. "Working on the 'Spider-Man' movies was the experience of a lifetime for me," Raimi, who directed all three "Spider-Man" films, also said in a statement Monday. "While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job." Maguire said in an interview last week that there was "great stuff in terms of story and script" for the fourth chapter and the plan was to still release the film in 2011. He also said he had specific ideas about the evolution of the character on the big screen. "Thor" experienced its own upheaval over the weekend. Stuart Townsend departed the adaptation because of creative differences, according to two AP sources close to the production. Townsend, who had been cast as an ally of the Norse god, was replaced by Joshua Dallas. The three "Spider-Man" films continually snared moviegoers, earning over $1.1 billion combined. After glowing reaction to the first two films, critical response to "Spider-Man 3" was so-so. Raimi said he was undecided about returning to the franchise after the third movie but later said he didn't like thinking about somebody else making the Peter Parker story. Sony said it would have more news about the next "Spider-Man" movie in coming weeks. Source from http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.ap.org/maguire-raimi-out-spiderman-franchise-ap. What are your thoughts about this? If they do reboot the entire series then I'm done with Spider-Man.

Gwyneth Paltrow to Star in Iron ManGwyneth Paltrow will join Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard in Iron Man, the Jon Favreau-directed film that is being financed by Marvel Studios and released by Paramount Pictures on May 2, 2008. Variety says Paltrow will play Virginia "Pepper" Potts, personal assistant to an industrialist who develops an armored suit to battle bad guys. Production begins in March in Los Angeles. "Pepper is an invaluable resource to Stark Industries, and one of the few people in Tony's life who can go toe-to-toe with him, occasionally acting as his conscience and working to keep his priorities straight as he secretly defends the world as the armored hero known as Iron Man. Below the surface, Tony and Pepper share a deep attraction for one another although neither is willing to admit it." here' the lin to that. http://mutanthigh.com/smf/index.php?topic=2039.0 And in other Iron man News. Are you excited for the ultimate superhero movie?!? So of course Marvel Studios independently released two blockbuster hits, Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk. They also plan to release a Captain America film in 2011, and then The Avengers! For those who don't know who the Avengers are, they are a team of superheroes originally made up of Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk, later recruiting other superheroes. They together fight villains that "no one superhero can withstand." I think it will be one of the most action packed movies of the century (if they play their cards right) and will put a stamp on this superhero movie fad. Unless they make a Justice League movie. That'd be hardcore. Okay, the Dark Knight was an excellent movie. It was intense, it was great, it was all that jazz, but come on people, it was not the ultimate superhero movie. In 3 or 4 months you won't be saying that. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that movie with all my heart, but stopping riding Batman's jock. :) Okay okay, i lied. Dark Knight, at the moment, is the reigning king of Superhero movies.
Fantastic Four 2 movie Why no galactus:Tim Story or Marvel/ Fox or anyone comment on why Galactus was a cloud? Has anyone commented yet? was it on the commentary of the dvd? I'm sure it was b/c of money reasons someone (studio) didn't wanna pay for teh effects or that the look of galactus wouldn't work. i just saw a marvel masterpiece painting (card for regular folk) and it looked good. The colors were toned down and he looked menacing. I mean i get it from a business sense. He makes like 30 seconds in the movie so why pay a gazillion dollars for that. Would fans have seen the movie more if that were in it???? Fantastic Four wasn't gonna fight him anyway right. i mean in the comics they didn't fight him or did they? all help and answers on ALL MY quelms are appreciated!!!!!
Entertainment Law #4? I have created this hypothetical situation, in which there may be more than one answer. What do you think the answer is? A producer meets with an executive at Dynamic Studios and pitches an idea for a movie starring Monica Marvel. Before Dynamic makes any decision on whether to pursue the producer's idea, the same idea was pitched to another studio by Monica Marvel herself. Marvel never met or talked with the producer, nor did anyone from Dynamic Studios tell Marvel about the producer's idea. Instead, Marvel conceived the idea entirely on her own, independent from any direct or indirect input concerning the producer's pitch. Dynamic has decided that it would like to produce a movie of the idea, starring Monica Marvel. If Dynamic does go ahead with the project, what legal obligations, if any, does Dynamic have to the producer who had the same idea and came to them with it first? Why? I think I was a little ambiguous on this one, so, sorry if it came out wrong. Here is what I think the answer to this case would be: If Dynamic Studios did decide to produce the movie, they would have legal obligations to either produce Paul Producer’s movie idea and pay him as the creator, or pay him for his idea and then go with Monica Marvel’s pitch. Courts in previous cases have said that even though ideas are legally free under copyright law, they can still serve as consideration for a contract. Since Paul Producer had disclosed his idea to them before Monica Marvel had, his idea was under consideration for a contract prior to hers. And being that the ideas for the movies were nearly identical, Dynamic Studios would be required to go with Paul Producer’s pitch to avoid being hit with a lawsuit if they did end up going with Monica Marvel’s pitch and never paying Paul Producer anything.
Will Ender's Game become a movie? I know that the rights to the film are being juggled around by different movie studios, but I heard that Ender's Game will only become a movie after Marvel releases the comic-book series based on Ender's Game. I want to know if it will ever become a movie (which I hope it doesn't because it would ruin the story), and when.
Flirting in the work place: Am i reading him right? He is a manager where I work. I've known him for 3 years.I have had a bit of a crush on him for a while. He is always complimenting my hair, or my earrings, my clothes..he once complimented my hair in the middle of a staff meeting!! i was so embarressed, and kinda paranoid that people would start thinking things.. He will strike up a conversation with me about anything. We both like the same music.. One time I went in to pick up my check and I was wearing a Marvel comics shirt with different characters on it and he made me stay in the back with him while he showed me pics on his phone of some Marvel comic stuff he saw at Universal Studios. It's always something like that. He is 29, I'm 21. I'm pretty sure he'd like to get involved but he's afraid of screwing up his career. Any ideas?

The Pryde of X-Men? ? If you're an old-school comic book fan and seen this, please give me a hand. I was helping a friend clean his room and I found a VCR tape called "The Pryde of X-Men". It caught my atention that it said on the cover it was done by Toei Animation. (I love japanese animation, Toei is a very important studio) and I like X-Men so I decided to give it a shot. I know A LITTLE about X-men, mostly from my friend and years of watching cartoons (never read a comic book). But now I'm completely confused.. Please someone help me? Did this things ever happened on the comic book, because I've seen the animations and can't remember them.. a) why is Kitty Pryde hair red? Looked more like Jean Grey here. b) whats with Wolverine weird accent? I thought he was canadian here he sounds as something else. c) was White Queen ever part of the brotherhood? d) what happened with Beast, Gambit, etc Animation technique is fantastic, but dunno.. They changed so much things.. What do comic books fans thought of this one? Also another question.. I know Marvel and I know Stan Lee. American. But what happens in this case that a japanese studio created an animation? Could we consider "Pryde of X-Men" as "anime" ?
your thoughts on spiderman 4? Director Raiami and Maguire r coming back? Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood reports that Sony has locked in director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire for two more "Spider-Man" films. She also says Kirsten Dunst is likely to return but that a deal hasn't been finalized. Who will be the villain? I'd love to see the Vulture or Electro (or both), but if Finke's unnamed sources are right, it will be the Lizard (which is fine and hardly a surprise given the careful setup in previous films) or Man-Wolf (which leaves me a bit cold and could be too close to the upcoming "The Wolf-Man"). Anyway, here is what Finke reports: Sony is taking its time officially hiring the movie's villain since principal photography doesn't start on Spider-Man 4 until next fall because of the recently postponed May 2011 release. I am told, however, that "once you find out who the villain is, you'll know who's playing it." That should lead to speculation that Dylan Baker's character of Dr. Curt Connors will ultimately turn into The Lizard as he did in the comic books. There's one other character that's been set up but is a real longshot -- Daniel Gillies, who plays John Jameson, the astronaut fiance of Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2. In the comics he becomes the villain Man-Wolf. Raimi has said in the past that he wants the best actors to play the villains in the movie, not necessarily the most famous. I'm also told that, right now, the studio is trying to figure out if it can feasibly shoot Spider-Man 4 and 5 at the same time because doing that is so cost effective and "it wasn't so easy to get everybody back together." She also says there is ramping interest in a Venom movie. This is one I just don't get. I never much cared for the character, and I was surprised that Raimi, a die-hard devotee of Steve Ditko, kowtowed to pressure to put him in the films. Finke: And Sony has hired a pair of screenwriters to get going on the Spider-Man 3 spinoff movie Venom. Given that comic book artist/writer and action figure maker, Todd McFarlane, who is one of the creators of the Marvel villain, doesn't think a Venom movie could do well with a villain as the central character, my sources think Sony should let Topher Grace, even though he was blown up at the end of Spider-Man 3 (yet a portion of the Venom costume survived), stay in the role because the likeable actor could be a a sympathetic evildoer. I'd be very happy to see Raimi and Maguire back together on Spidey. The third film was muddled and oddly indulgent (it also seemed rushed to me, like it needed a few more edits) and I hated the way it undermined its own history (both on screen and in the comics) by rewriting the murder of Uncle Ben and putting the gun in the hand of Sandman. Terrible idea. Despite that, I still consider Raimi the gold standard as far as filmmakers adapting comics. I also think he learned from the mistakes of "Spider-Man 3." The reason I'm confident that Raimi won't make another "Spider-Man 3" is he openly regretted what he had done with the film before it even came out. Here's what he told Comic Book Resources back in April 2007 a few weeks before the release "Spider-Man 3": There are so many fears I have making this movie, that's just one of them. That's just one in my vast array of things that I'm terrified people won't like. I had worked on the story with my brother Ivan. Primarily, it was a story that featured the Sandman. It was really about Peter, Mary Jane, Harry and that new character. When we were done, Avi Arad, my partner and president of Marvel at the time, came to me and said "Sam, you're not paying attention to the fans enough. You need to think about them. You've made two movies now with your favorite villains and now you're about to make another one with your favorite villains. The fans love Venom. He is the fan-favorite. All Spider-Man readers love Venom. Even though you came from '70s Spider-Man, this is what the kids are thinking about. Please incorporate Venom. Listen to the fans now." So, that's really where I realized, "Okay, maybe I don't have the whole Spider-Man universe in my head. Maybe I need to learn more about Spider-Man. And maybe incorporate this villain and make some of the real die-hard fans finally happy." Well, thanks, Mr. Arad, for derailing the momentum of the franchise that you brought to Hollywood. This next time it won't matter who is talking in Raimi's ear, he will do the right thing. Back when I visited the set of the first "Spider-Man" film, Raimi told me a story about the big gift he got on his 12th birthday: His mom drew a Spider-Man mural on the wall of his bedroom in their suburban Detroit home. He fell asleep for years looking up at the hero and making "movies" of his adventures in his mind. Sam, you are the die-hard fan you should be trying to make happy. That's why the first two films were so great, and why a fourth and fifth have a chance to be wonderful.
How many people are FRUSTRATED at the way they're going abou the new Justice League Movie? Studio exec: "Who should we get to play Superman in JLA? Brandon routh? Nah, too predictible. Tom Welling? Nahhh too much money. Let's get a no-name actor no one has ever heard of to take on one of the hardest comic roles. And Batman? Let's do the same for him, too. How about the whole cast? The Justice League movie sounds like it's going to BLOW. I have been a DC fan all my life, but the way Marvel and Universal are taking these new super hero reboots, like Ironman and The Hulk, using increidble actors, and then intertwining these amazing actors together to build up to "The Avengers" makes my spine tingle. If only someone had been smart enough to put Brandon Routh and Christian Bale in the same room and start having them read lines off the script of JLA......
Will Eric Bana ever be an A-list star? *Inspired by a contact* Eric Bana, while talented, seems to be a perennial up-and-comer. So many times he's been on the verge of major stardom, but it's gone wrong. For example: - he's cast in a major Marvel superhero movie. This boosted Tobey Maguire's profile, saved Robert Downey, Jr.'s career, etc. But his ends up being Ang Lee's strange, slow Hulk, which is widely seen as a flop. - he's cast in a Steven Spielberg movie, which usually means a big profile boost and/or lots of award attention. But Munich ends up being one of Spielberg's most challenging and non-mainstream films, and doesn't get the usual big Spielberg audience. - he's cast in Lucky You, a romantic dramedy with an A-list co-star (Drew Barrymore) and a talented director (Curtis Hanson, L.A. Confidential). While studio romance pictures may not always be high art, they are usually popular. But this one is PANNED by critics and comes out the same day as Spider-Man 3... almost no one sees it (though I saw it opening day instead of Spidey, I'm weird, ha ha). Again and again, the poor fellow falls just short and the indie acclaim which met Chopper is fading away. Even in Troy, despite giving the best performance, the attention was paid to Brad Pitt... and the movie ended up being seen as a mediocre attempt to pull a Gladiator. And now Bana's donning tons of prosthetics to play the villain in the new Star Trek movie. Ouch. I half wonder if he wishes he was Daniel Craig right now. So, are you a Bana fan? Do you believe he will ever enter the A-list? What's your favorite movie with Eric Bana?
Hey, what do you think of my story? I'm currently writing a story, its about two girls who have to move in with each other after their parents fall in love. There are two parts to the story, Cammie's parts, which are on all the odd chapters and Keira's parts, which are on all the even chapters. Cammie is a Connecticut prep, heres part of her chapter: *Empty. Thats what Cammie was feeling. Totally and utterly empty. The feeling wrenched her heart and stomach together in a sickening combination. She pitied herself for letting this get to her, but what else was to be expected? Leaving sounded absurd, up until now when she was actually in her mom's Escalade, watching tall palm trees pass in a blur from behind the tinted window of the car. She couldn't recall what led to this. All she could register was the desperation on her best friends- Frankie and Gemma -faces when she told them she was leaving her home. They deserved a friend that wouldn't leave the summer of the tenth grade, such great friends like themselves. Cammie clutched her pearl necklace-her trademark- and closed her eyes. They must be missing her as much as shes missing them. Their pain during departure was inevitable. But it definitely wasn't bearable. All of Cammie's anger and pain was swelling up in her chest like a balloon, and would burst at any moment. But she didn't want her mom to know how much hurt leaving Connecticut was for her, so she didn't speak as they cruised the streets of Malibu, California. Cammie tried to block everything but her alter ego-Stella- out of her brain. Stella was like Cammie's personal animated conscience. Sometimes Stella was wrong, and sometimes she was right. But right now, Stella wasn't giving any advice. She was just sympathizing with Cammie. “Camille, could you at least act happy for him?” Jenna-Claire, Cammie's mom asked, her hazel brown eyes glued to to the road ahead of her as she drove. Cammie scowled at nothing. First of all, Jenna just broke Cammie's isolation of her surroundings, and second, Jenna just reminded Cammie of why they were here in the first place: Rob Hotchkiss. Rob and Jenna met on an online dating service and had been dating for months, and finally decided to live together. Cammie was fine with that, until Jenna mentioned that Rob lived way out here. Leaving Connecticut now was not part of Cammie's life plan: she was going to major in Fine Arts at Dartmouth, move out out to Durham or Cromwell and pursue her dream of owning the biggest dance studio in Connecticut, meet her dream guy, and get married in Tahiti on a huge yacht, then live happily ever after. Well, now that plan was ruined. “Camille.” Jenna said calmly. She tapped the break pedal at a red light and the car eased to a stop. “I really love Robert, and I just know you'll love it here, Kitty.” Cammie cracked a grin. Kitty was her pet name, granted to her by her first boyfriend, Noah. Noah was effusively in love with Cammie, and and would always call her Kitty-pooh. Soon, even after they broke up, her friends and family began to call her Kitty as a taunt. Jenna smiled, encouraged by Cammie's break in her apathy. “He has a daughter your age. Her name is Keira.” Jenna pressed the acceleration and they were riding down the streets of Malibu once again. Heres Some of Keira's chapter. Shes a frivolous surfer. * “She's just a beach bunny. I have no idea why he's so into her.” Keira Hotchkiss scrutinized her enemy, Lauren Colt while she haphazardly waxed her long surfboard, named Baby, on Hotchkiss beach. Hotchkiss beach was the best place for long board surfing in SoCal, and it showed by the amount of surfers that hung around. But beach bunnies like Lauren and her little friends crowded the scene and were only admired by the guys. Honestly, if you aren't here to surf, swim,or tan and eat, then get lost! Keira smiled because she remembered that her family owned the beach. If she wanted to, she could tell Lauren to leave. She desperately wanted to, because Lauren was steeling her thunder- Dylan Gander. But how much of a jerk would she look like, standing over Lauren and the Laurenetts, screaming at them to get lost? Guess theres no way out of that problem. “It's not only him, almost every guy is hypnotized.” Mila, Keira's best friend wrinkled her cute nose and tied her wet brown hair back into a sloppy bun. “It is pretty sick.” Brynn, Keira's friend wrung out her long red waves. “And not in a good way.” Keira frowned. She meant for them to tell her that she was better for Dylan. Some people just don't pick up hints. Keira looked at Tristen, her closest friend in the world. Surprisingly, he was staring right back at her. His lazy blue eyes were the same color as the ocean waves, a soft aqua blue. There was something behind his gaze that Keira couldn't decipher. It looked as if he were dreaming, or marveling. At what? Keira wondered. He must have been checking out some chick behind Keira, because there was no way he could be looking sorry its cut off at the end.... It said something about how she didn't think he liked her. And there was a reminder that i'm 13.

Why is twilight so popular? The Twilight series, written by Stephenie Meyer, has become a smash hit all over the world, selling 25 million copies worldwide and 20 million in the United States alone. Twilight, the first book in the series, has been named a New York Times bestseller and Publisher's Weekly Best Book of the Year. Quite a shame, considering the substandard quality of these novels. In asking fans what precisely they loved about these books for the purpose of trying to discover exactly how such novels have become fabulously popular, it seems to boil down to three reasons: One, Twilight is entertaining simply for a fun read, with a rather unique plot line. Two, the fluffy love story appeals to the inner romantic in many, many girls and women. Three, Edward Cullen. Twilight in a nutshell: Isabella(Bella) Swan moves to Forks, Washington and meets the Cullens, the impossibly beautiful vegetarian(meaning they only suck the blood of animals) vampire family. Edward Cullen, the only single vampire out of the lot of them, can read everybody's mind but Bella's, and thinks Bella's blood smells utterly scrumptious. They fall hopelessly in love. While playing baseball with his family, vampires who eat humans come and see Bella, making them want to eat her. James, the enemy vampire, lures Bella to a dance studio, but is thwarted by the Cullens. Happy endings ensue. While this certainly is an extremely abridged version of the plot of Twilight, not much else happens, really. When looking at the raw ingredients for the plotline, Twilight seems somewhat promising. The interpretation of vampires is unique and potentially appealing. Admittedly, Ms. Meyer's decision to make the reason that vampires cannot go out in the sun the fact that their skin sparkles in sunlight seems rather questionable, but the idea of making them the perfect predators by using their physical beauty to lure their prey in, then their superhuman speed and strength to kill is an interesting concept. However, the idea is squandered in Twilight, and in its place, a shallow, illogical romance is written in. The section of the book where the enemy vampires come to Forks, incidentally, the only section where there seems to be an actual plot, gives the impression of being hastily tacked on to the end of the novel on the realization that one can't properly end a book with just a groundless love story. The romance in Twilight is not only very, very cheesy, but also incredibly shallow. Edward and Bella fall in love based solely on Edward's looks and Bella's smell. It seems that half the book is dedicated to describing how stunningly attractive Edward is, with Bella marveling at his smooth, hard skin, his perfect muscles, his Adonis-like body, his more-glorious-than-an-angel's face, his beautiful crooked smile, his captivating eyes, his velvety voice, his disconcerting movements, and of course, his mouth-watering breath. All of this, of course, is made even more spectacular when he sparkles like a diamond. Okay. Maybe half the book is an exaggeration, but hearing again and again about how perfectly god-like Edward Cullen gets extremely tiresome. Stephenie Meyer makes full use of her thesaurus for Edward, using every possibly adjective to accentuate his gorgeousness. Twilight manages to make Edward so beautiful that Bella actually is in anguish about it. Direct quote from the text: "He was too perfect, I realized with a piercing stab of despair. There was no way this godlike creature could be meant for me." Of course, if Bella is pained by Edward's magnificence, there is no shortage of fangirls willing to take her place. However, other than his glorious beauty, there doesn't seem to be any truly desirable trait in Edward Cullen. In all honesty, his only distinguishing personality trait is his abrupt and often violent mood swings, clocking in at an astounding 37 inexplicable changes of attitude throughout the novel(Note, this does not take into consideration any of switches that were deemed explainable, regardless of whether or not they were a completely unnecessary overreaction. Otherwise, the count would be at something around 60 or 70.). Even Bella, utterly infatuated as she is, notices this, asking him if he has a multiple personality disorder. In addition to this, Edward seems rather stalkeresque. After seeing Bella for three days(not accounting for the approximate week where he went to Alaska in order to not smell her dangerously appetizing scent), Edward breaks into Bella's house and watches her sleep for months. Amazingly, Bella, rather than be creeped out and take a restraining order on him, is flattered by his spying, and only gets upset when she realizes he heard her talking in her sleep about him. He is also excessively controlling. When James decides to hunt for Bella, Edward throws her into his car, orders his brother Emmett to restrain her by strapping her to the seat and grabbing her wrists, and refuses to listen to anything she has to say until forced to by hi
